Thank you for your interest in helping the river!
Annually, over 3,500 local river stewards get their hands dirty through FMR cleanups, storm drain stenciling outings, invasive species removals and other habitat restoration activities. We hope you can join us.
- Most events take place between April and November and are two to three hours in length.
- No experience is required. FMR staff take care of training, tools, directions and the rest.
- Sign up for whichever event(s) work for you. Most events require advanced registration, no application or long-term commitment is required.
- Contribute to four or more hands-on restoration events in a year to earn FMR SuperVolunteer status, coveted T-shirt included.
Follow us on social (Facebook, Instagram and Twitter) and sign up for our Mississippi Messages e-newsletter to stay current on our work.
