Hastings Area Bird Festival
Celebrate the arrival of spring by learning about our regions many bird species. Friends of the Mississippi River is proud to support the Hastings Environmental Protectors, the City of Hastings and Carpenter Nature Center (link is external)'s annual Birding Festival as part of the Vermillion Stewards (link is external) program helping residents learn about the watershed while working to protect and enhance its unique natural resources.
This is the fourth year the Hastings Environmental Protectors has teamed up with Carpenter Nature Center for the Birding Festival. Some of the highlights include: “Introduction to Birding” class, a “Raptors 101” class, bird banding demonstrations, and guided bird trips in the Hastings area.
